Koa continues her mis-adventures with a very magical internet dating site as she transitions from Japanese speaking anime character, to “barefoot and pregnant”, and finally turning into a pink haired Hourglass Bimbo.

OK. I grew up watching Speed Racer, Ultraman, Robotech, Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999, all sorts of Anime. I still watch some. (no, Highschool of the Dead sucks, I do not watch it, nor do I watch Queens Blade which sucks worse even with the sound off). Now that said...

When Koa began speaking at the beginning of this video I literally bust up laughing out loud. Her intonations were a spot on impersonation. Either she watches a lot of anime, or someone coached her who does. That opening, to me, was worth half the price of the clip by itself.

Ditto on Speed Racer and Robotech...I don't watch much anime these days though. Koa however is a huge fan of both manga and anime and speaks some Japanese as well. She is a gal with many talents

Ah ha! Now it makes sense with Koa being an anime fan. Even if it’s just a little bit, the Japanese was a pleasant shock and spot on perfect for a laugh. I’m snickering just thinking about it. The humor transitioned well into her first of two transformations to the “barefoot and pregnant” as it took a minute to realize what stereotype she had changed into. I didn’t laugh, but I did groan like one does when they hear a pun so bad it’s good.

I liked the interplay between Adonia and Koa during the last transformation sequence, and kind of miss not seeing something similar during the first sequence where Adonia just seems to disappear when it starts, only to walk back into frame a couple of minutes later acting like she’s been there the whole time. Though I can also see the need/want to highlight Koa and the transformation by having her onscreen by herself.

Part 1 and 2 of this were the first clips I had seen with Adonia, and I have to say she did an excellent job playing opposite from Koa. Her body language and delivery were excellent. In Part 1 her eyes looking at cue cards was a little distracting, but she was much better in Part 2. The camera angle and editing in Part 2 also helped hide her looking just a little to the left of the camera. Honestly, memorizing lines is extremely minor compared to delivery, which is where she shined. Orson Wells was infamous for his reliance on cue cards, but damn could he deliver lines! I look forward to seeing Adonia in future clips.

If you ever do get the urge to watch some anime ask Koa about “Durarara!!”, “Sword Art OnLine” and “Attack on Titan”. They’re each unique and spectacular. Particularly “Durarara!!” which has some of the best character writing I’ve seen anywhere. Puts animation here in the USA to shame.

Thanx, WestX for the follow up. I will tell Koa about those anime and see what she says. Adonia has a couple of stand alone clips in the store if you had missed them.
Haven't been able to work with her in awhile, but maybe we can work with her again soon.
We usually use cue cards with a "flexible wording" philosophy. We try to get the girls to only use the cards for reference or to pick up keywords, as we prefer them to try to talk naturally in their own style of speaking versus memorizing the lines. Some gals are very rigid and OCD about trying to speak every word just right and sometimes they never "loosen" up. As you can imagine, most of the ladies don't have real acting experience...it's funny because they might feel perfectly comfortable naked, but ask them to say a line and they get stiff like mannequins. For some, they really want to do well, that they just try too hard and that shows too. That's why gals like Koa and Lucia are such rare treats.
